The Langdale Valley is in the heart of the English Lake District, with excellent walking to be found in all directions from the front door of The Britannia Inn.

The lofty summits of Scafell, Bowfell and the famous Langdale Pikes beckon the energetic, while the lower fells and valleys offer a more leisurely but equally scenic stroll.

There are many famous towns and villages just waiting to be explored such as Ambleside, Grasmere, Hawkshead, Coniston and Keswick, each with their own spectacular views, attractions and shops.
