Guest Beers

Below is a list of our Guest Beers.

Fraoch Heather Ale 4.0%

A light amber ale with flowering heather added to the mash. A refreshing brew with a spiciness coming from the heather. One of the top two favourite guest beers.

Harviestoun Schiehallion 4.8%

The first (and still one of the best) British cask lagers. Using bottom fermenting lager yeast and Hersbrucker hops. This is how lager should taste. Also,

Harviestoun Belgian White 4.3% And Harviestoun Bitter & Twisted 3.8%

brewed with a touch of lemon in the mash.

York Yorkshire Terrier 4.2%

An amber-gold brew, with a good fruit/hop balance and a long hoppy bitter finish. One of many beers we have had from the York Brewery.

Crouch Vale - Crouch Best 4.0%

Good example of a true bitter beer. A clean tasting tawny beer typical of many of the real bitters from the south east of England.

Orkney Dark Island 4.6%

A dark complex beer full of roast malt and caramel. Sweetish, but with a bitter finish, velvety smooth and moorish.

Moorhouse Pendle Witches Brew 5.1%

A wonderfully fruity full bodied brew, easy drinking - but beware!

Oakham Jhb 3.8%

Easy drinking straw coloured, with a wonderful grapefruity flavour. A hint sweet at first but with a long dry finish. A flavour that runs through most of the excellent beers in their range.

Hop Back Summer Lightning 5.0%

A hoppy light intensly bitter beer with a long dry finish. Deceptively easy drinking for its strength.

Jennings Laal Cockle Warmer 6.5%

A very dark rich winter warmer. Liquid Christmas cake with a kick like a reindeer!
